Here is another update on my self portrait, “Pain” 9 x 12 graphite on @strathmoreart 300 Bristol Smooth paper. I’m still working on my middle finger. I lad down a layer of graphite using a @pentelofamerica P205 mechanical pencil with 4H @pentelofamerica Hi-Polymer graphite by making tiny overlapping circular motions. The I moved up in graphite grade 2H, F, HB. I darkened the shadow between my fingers using 4B Hi-Polymer graphite. I then used a kneaded eraser and a mechanical eraser to negatively draw to make the highlighted pores in my skin. More to come soon!!
